This afternoon we are going to a party so this morning I have made some bite sized scones to take along. They are filled with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry conserve.

Ingredients
  

1. 450g/1lb self raising flour

2. Pinch of salt

3. 100g/4oz butter

4. 50g/2oz caster sugar

5. Milk for binding mixture 

Method


With it being Mother's day on Sunday we had a bit of a cake fest. One was coffee cake and the other banana, recipe here. The toppings were basically white/milk chocolate with more chocolate 'things' thrown on top, you just can't go wrong with chocolate.

Yesterday in the garden we had two foxes, out in the day time. Obviously food is difficult to find in the snow. Then a heron landed in the garden. He helped himself to the last fish we had in the pond. Even though we live in a city we still see lots of wildlife. I'm baking some apricot Bakewell tarts today.
