These chickens are very easy to make, the body is based on how to make a juggling bean bag.
Take a rectangle of fabric measuring 20cm x 11cm fold in half with right sides facing. From a small amount of felt cut out a beak, wattle and comb put them in place sew up. 2 sides (seam allowance 5mm) Turn chicken inside out, at this point with black embroidery thread make 2 eyes using french knots. Fill the chicken with a small amount of stuffing, split peas for ballast and lavender. Sew up the final side, fold under 5mm seam allowance and top stitch.
I have looked at your instructions and have no idea how you turn a rectangle into a triangle - can you put another step in so we can see how that works?
I have searched for triangle juggling bean bag on the web but haven't found one so far.
I have just spent a lovely afternoon making other types of chook see http://www.hemulen.demon.co.uk/chooksaway.jpg
We adapted some patterns for a square based pyramid and a regular tetrahedron - so we had to do sums as well as sewing!
Thanks
Hi 'confused chicken maker' have a look at this tutorial, it is the same basic shape as the chicken but the tutorial might make it clearer here
