Free Pattern for Felt Babushka Doll Tree Decoration

Download this pattern from the Felt Bird Christmas Decoration post
Cut out the pattern from red and white felt.
Attach the red pieces to the white body. At this stage embroider simple facial features. The rosy cheeks are done very lightly with a moistened red coloured pencil (Caren d'Ache type pencil) At this point you can also add decoration, like flower sequins.
Put the two body pieces together and sew around the shape. Leave the base open for stuffing. stuff lightly. Sew the base up. Attach a cord to the top to hang from the tree.

I have designed this Russian doll as a tree decoration. The pattern for the doll is included on the felt bird Christmas decoration pattern doll pattern.pdf . Just click on pdf attachment . I also made some dolls with a patterned cotton fabric and felt. Because I used a patterned material I had to make the face from a circle of flesh coloured felt.
